The year 2005 was the 200th anniversary of H.C. Andersen, and I've read the "the Little Mermaid" again. It was so profound and emotional, the sensation which only the adults might know.   I was impressed especially by the heroine's "painfulness", and I realized that it was not written only for children.   In this book, the emotions of her one-sided love are depicted in 12 scenes and with some short phrases, as to compose a poetic tone.
